Accommodation Ladders & Embarkation Platforms
Jered provides reliable through-hull automatic folding accommodation ladders for underway operations. These are hydraulically operated systems that consist of a shell door, two folding ladder sections, and a platform at the end of the assembly. The door hinges at the bottom, and conforms to the hull when closed. The top section is comprised of a platform and the first five steps of the ladder. The second ladder section has eight additional steps that end at the lower platform. The number of steps can be configured for individual ship requirements.
The main shell door is secured to a watertight gasket on the ship’s hull via the hydraulically actuated dogging linkage. The linkage is actuated via a single double acting hydraulic cylinder. Two double acting hydraulic cylinders operate the main door.
Jered also provides ship embarkation platforms which are typically used in seaways to bring a small boat alongside for the transfer to personnel or light supplies and cargo.
