Controls and Software Engineering Manager 10-08
This is a key technical management role that is responsible for the continued success and future growth of a highly advanced engineering group. The successful candidate must have a proven record of directing engineering staff, ensuring customer requirements, product quality, schedule and profitability targets are met.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage an engineering team developing and designing custom robotic systems
- Development of staff and hiring of high quality engineering talent
- Direct staff to work effectively across multiple engineering disciplines and departments
- Continuous improvement of processes
- Evaluate an implement new engineering tools
- Work with Program Managers, to execute projects and prepare the technical sections of customer proposals
- Forecast cost and manage projects to budget
- Apply product standardization wherever possible
- Evaluate and implement continuous improvements on product/process designs.
Qualified applicants will have a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 10 years design experience for electro mechanical equipment, and five years experience leading engineering teams and executing projects with proven leadership and management skills. Working familiarity with Microsoft Project.
Engineers
Current engineering requirements include electrical with experience in PC/PLC based motion control and mechanical engineers with experience in solving design problems, engineering calculations, technical research and design verification. All positions require BS degrees and a minimum of 5 years experience in a project based engineering group.
Field Engineer
Responsible for defining, developing, implementing, testing, installing and supporting software solutions for automated systems. Systems include standard products and custom projects in the material handling, custom robotic, aerospace, environmental, and other custom applications. Responsible for developing internal and client-specifications and using these specifications to design software control systems, by deriving code from previously developed software components and augmenting this base by developing and documenting new software components.
Also responsible for generating project-specific documentation, developing and executing Acceptance Test Plans, assisting in field installation and integration and providing on-going customer enhancements and support. Software development toolset must include FANUC HandlingTool, PalletTool, and KAREL platforms, and may include Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Software platforms, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
Qualified applicants will have an Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; with four years related technical experience. Strong robot programming, problem solving, communications and interpersonal skills required.
Field Service Technician 10-06S
Install, train, troubleshoot, repair and provide quality parts for crane systems to keep the systems in acceptable operating condition and maintain maximum customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision for the installation, testing and training on a unique crane system. This work is to be done outside the continental United States.
- Respond to customer calls regarding equipment/operation problems. This involves troubleshooting/problem solving over the phone.
- Travel to customer's locations to repair and install systems
- Test and repair parts sent in by customers
- Travel requirement 70%
The experienced technician for this role will have previous a minimum two year technical degree in electro-mechanics with at least
4 years field experience with some project manager experience, working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word and Excel with strong Mechanical and electronic and Rigging experience for complex lifts.
Also requires a working knowledge of Russian language (verbal and written)

Research, development, and design expert on mechanical components, products, and systems. Be the technical expert on the assigned product line, design contracts, test procedures and test equipment requirements. Review and/ or establish the technical requirements and quality provisions on Jered products: elevators, cranes, steering gears, large structural doors and similar marine products. Drive product technical development and enhancements to provide the most advanced product to the customer as well as the best manufacturability. B.S. Degree in Engineering or higher. Minimum of 10 years experience in an appropriate technical discipline.
