Engineers
Current engineering requirements include electrical with experience in PC/PLC based motion control and mechanical engineers with experience in solving design problems, engineering calculations, technical research and design verification. All positions require BS degrees and a minimum of 5 years experience in a project based engineering group.
Quality Engineer
This position is responsible for effectively planning and conducting activities concerned with the Quality Assurance Program of PaR Systems, including audits, metrics and documentation. A Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial/Quality Engineering or related concentration with 10 years experience, experience working in a nuclear level quality assurance program and with ISO 9001 and ASME NQA-1 quality assurance programs. Experience working within a very technical engineering driven and project base organization. Strong communications and organizational skills required.

Mechanical Engineers
Design mechanical and structural systems to specifications, generating layouts and detail drawings, calculations, and supporting manufacturing during fabrication and assembly in support of US Navy equipment. Familiarity with best practice engineering and/or manufacturing standards and practices preferred. Requires BSME and prefer minimum 4 years experience in heavy mechanical equipment design.
Electrical Engineer
Drive control and instrumentation solutions and designs on a project level. Identify fundamental issues and technically review and provide guidance for complex problems. System level design experience. Work with manufacturing personnel during construction and testing phases. Minimum: BS degree in Electrical Engineering, 3-5 years of work experience with control system design including integration and support. Five or more years of work experience with product development. Strong analytical skills in controls, systems and power distribution. Proficient in: AutoCAD, PLC and HMI programming software, Rockwell and Siemens preferred, application of variable speed drives, Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook). Manufacturing Process Engineer
Candidate will establish Jered Continuous Improvement Process (PCI based) and drive process improvement methodology, improve existing operations, incorporating new methods and processes, and investigate operational problems affecting production. Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Confers with planning and design staff engineering concerning product design and manufacturability to ensure efficient production methods. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Applies statistical methods.
Supplier Quality Engineer
Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of supplier quality standards for manufacturing processes, materials, and products. Develops and initiates supplier standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation relative to Jered's quality system. Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data. Assures that supplier products are effective and free from defects or operational problems or errors and meet applicable organizational and contractual requirements. Possesses creativity and understanding of the product and the goals of the company. Reviews technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.
Quality Engineer
Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of spares quality standards for manufacturing processes, materials, and products. Assures that spares products are effective and free from defects or operational problems or errors and meet applicable organizational and contractual requirements.
Chief Engineer
Research, development, and design expert on mechanical components, products, and systems. Be the technical expert on the assigned product line, design contracts, test procedures and test equipment requirements. Review and/ or establish the technical requirements and quality provisions on Jered products: elevators, cranes, steering gears, large structural doors and similar marine products. Drive product technical development and enhancements to provide the most advanced product to the customer as well as the best manufacturability. B.S. Degree in Engineering or higher. Minimum of 10 years experience in an appropriate technical discipline.
Senior Buyer
Strategic purchasing of specific commodities in support of our manufacturing plant, services, products and military contracts at the most economical total cost, within the standards of quality required. Review, negotiate and work with internal customers in developing specifications and refining processes. Performs analysis, and negotiates terms with suppliers. Must possess strong negotiating skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to read and understand machining and fabrication engineered drawings. Experience with cross-functional teams, strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, highly organized and experience in analytical decision-making. Must have strong process and data manipulation skills. Must have the ability to simplify complex situations and identify key issues with solutions. Additionally, candidates must have strategic cost management skills, as well as the ability to effectively and timely communicate with Business Unit/Corporate and Supplier personnel at a variety of levels. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred supplemented with strong documented purchasing experience.
Sales Technician
Responsible for daily coordination of customer service activity including receipt of quote requests, processing for cost, entry of sales orders and working well with the customer to assure satisfaction. Must have the ability to work up product cost and sale price with a high degree of accuracy ; have the understanding of parts lists or bill of materials. Responsibilities also include the review and understanding of RFQ documents and purchase order terms and conditions. Strong customer service background a plus. Knowledge and experience with business control systems and related software, accounting as well as Microsoft Suite. Candidates should be well organized, detail orientated and ability to work independently. 2 yr degree preferred. Ability to read steel fabrication, hydraulic and complex marine mechanical assembly blueprints preferred.
Opportunities at Fort Worth, TX
Project Engineer
Lead engineering design and integration activities for LaserUT NDI Systems; coordinate outsourcing activities with Program Management, Purchasing and suppliers; investigate and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment; and reduce future operational/service difficulties. Requires BS Degree with minimum of 3 years in a Project Engineering role delivering large scale, complex systems. Specifically, the candidate shall have a minimum of four years experience related to the design, manufacture, test and maintenance of complex systems, preferably in a manufacturing or test environment. NDI and/or Robotics systems experience preferred. International experience a plus. Must be fluent in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
