PaR Systems has a 46 year history of providing robust automation solutions equipment for demanding industry requirements with long term quality support. In recent years PaR Systems' capabilities have expanded significantly by investing in the development of new products and the acquisition of companies with strong reputations for satisfying customers.

PaR Systems continues to build on our long-standing experience designing and manufacturing a family of gantry robots, telerobotic manipulators, and integrating Fanuc® pedestal robots for automation solutions and material handling systems. PaR Systems supplies robotic systems to industries where high precision, heavy payloads and a large variety of work envelopes are best served by a robotic gantry robot. PaR Systems' CIMROC® Robot Controller provides high accuracy, continuous path control for up to nine servo axes along with adaptive control to meet the most demanding requirements.

In addition, by expanding product expertise in traditional businesses as well as in recent acquisitions, PaR Systems has been able to successfully add significant depth and breadth to our capabilities. This has enhanced our ability to provide specialty material handling and automation solutions to customers in a number of highly specialized industries. PaR Systems' approach leverages our large base of equipment platforms and applications experience to meet the special needs of our customers. Our ability to access platforms and technology expertise gained from thousands of previously successful automation solutions and material handling systems solutions allows PaR Systems to cost effectively provide reliable solutions where others may fail.

Corporate History

PaR Systems, Inc. PaR Systems' parent company, Programmed and Remote Systems Corporation, was spun off in 1961 from General Mills to design and build remote manipulators, and later, nuclear fuel handling systems, and nuclear fuel storage racks. In 1981, PaR Systems introduced its first industrial gantry robot. Later that year, the company was acquired by GCA, Inc. In 1986, CIMCORP Precision Systems, Inc. was formed as part of a purchase by Wärtsilä (Metra Corp.), a large Finnish company. In 1993, PaR Systems, Inc. was purchased and taken private by a small group of investors and is now classified as a "small U.S. Business".

In 2002 Ederer, Inc. was purchased in Seattle, WA. Ederer builds specialized cranes and heavy material handling systems equipment for a variety of industries throughout the world adding a broader product line to PaR Systems customers.

In 2004, Westinghouse Electric Company purchased 81% of PaR Nuclear, the nuclear utility fuel handling, crane, and service business. PaR Systems and PaR Nuclear continue to be headquartered in Shoreview, MN, and Ederer, LLC continues to be headquartered in Seattle, WA. These companies continue to support each other's success through the sharing of resources and facilities in both locations.

In December of 2004, PaR Systems acquired MÖZAK Systems of Red Wing, MN. The MÖZAK product line extends PaR Systems' automation solutions equipment product range and customer base to include processing, production, and cleaning applications within the semiconductor, medical, and laboratory markets.

PaR Systems completed the acquisition of Jered in August of 2005. The Jered business brings more than 50 years of military and commercial marine material handling systems expertise to our company.

In 2006, Unidynamics and SSi Robotics were acquired, strengthening PaR Systems' presence in the military and life science market segments, respectively. Also in 2006, Westinghouse Electric Company purchased the remaining percentage of the PaR Nuclear business, which remains headquartered in Shoreview, MN.

In December 2007, PaR Systems acquired Lockheed Martin's LaserUT product line. PaR Systems will support all of Lockheed Martin's LaserUT system needs and pursue new opportunities for LaserUT non-destructive composite inspection technology.
