PAR Systems Establishes a Manipulator Maintenance and Support Division in the United Kingdom

Reading, United Kingdom (22 September 2011) – PaR Systems, Ltd. is pleased to announce the establishment of a manipulator maintenance and support facility located in Seascale, Cumbria, United Kingdom. The Seascale location includes engineering and service personnel with over 40 years combined experience in servicing PaR System equipment. This local presence will strengthen PaR’s critical engineering and service functions provided to the Sellafield nuclear facility in support of their decommissioning and reprocessing operations.
PaR Systems has been supplying specialized material handling systems and automation solutions to the UK nuclear industry for over twenty ‐five years with a number of installations operating very successfully on the Sellafield Site. In addition, PaR will leverage its 50 ‐year experience in nuclear handling equipment and waste management to identify new opportunities for assisting Sellafield, and other European nuclear sites.

The facility, located near an important customer site, with installed training equipment originally designed by PaR Systems, is another step in ensuring that customer needs come first in our growth efforts”. PaR Systems’ new facility has now been awarded a framework contract by Sellafield Ltd to provide engineering services and support for remote handling systems installed at the Sellafield site.
To further support European development, PaR Systems announces the appointment of Ms. Sian Beaty as Director of Business Development, reporting to Tony White. Sian brings more than 20 years of nuclear operational, commercial and senior management experience to the PaR Systems team, and will be primarily located at the Seascale facility.
