PAR Systems Hosts Nuclear Strategy Roundtable

April 16, 2009

Saint Paul/Minneapolis, MN – April 16, 2009 – PAR Systems, Inc. announces they are holding a Nuclear Strategy Roundtable (NSR) on April 16, 2009, in Aiken, South Carolina. As explained by PAR Systems’ CEO Mark Wrightsman, “We chose to hold the Roundtable in Aiken because the Savannah River Site (SRS) is not only at the forefront of nuclear expertise, it is being considered by many as a base from which the Nuclear Renaissance can grow.”

The Roundtable will address the many concerns and challenges facing the Renaissance and provide our leaders with the opportunity to gain valuable insight from a group of individuals who are well-versed in the nuclear arena. Issues that will be discussed range from the level of Government involvement and support, including funding of major Department of Energy (DOE) projects and new awards, the future of Yucca Mountain, and the need for qualified people to fulfill nuclear’s potential demand. The NSR brings together an elite group of nuclear industry leaders to address these issues and discuss the path ahead for the industry.

PAR Systems, like many of their colleagues in the nuclear industry, is poised to grow and flourish in government and commercial arenas that require their experience and talents. Experts from a variety of nuclear sectors including new build, architect engineering, utilities, national laboratories, financial institutions and Department of Energy (DOE) sites will address:

The overall environment for nuclear new build, including demand, siting, waste management, and financing.

Current issues facing DOE sites with new contracts and limited budgets.

The role of national laboratories in developing advanced nuclear and alternative energy technologies.

Financial world’s perspective on nuclear projects.

PAR Systems, along with the other companies represented at this Roundtable, wants to ensure the U.S. plays a leading role in nuclear technology. Key to this commitment is making certain that industry leaders listen in earnest to public concerns and develop plans to support advanced alternative energy solutions that are safe and effective for everyone.
