Saint Paul/Minneapolis, MN (December 11, 2009) – PAR Systems, Inc. subsidiary Jered LLC announces the expansion of their business operations by investing in a second location in Brunswick, Georgia. The new facility is located at 3000 Sidney Lanier Drive and will be the headquarters for Jered’s business operations and the primary assembly site as PAR Systems continues to develop and manufacture higher technology products for the defense market through its PAR® Defense division. The current location at 103 Shipyard Drive will continue as the fabrication and large assembly site. Jered anticipates occupying the new facility in the spring of 2010. “The new building provides an additional 70,000 square feet of capacity to achieve our growth projections and better serve our customers’ future needs, states Tom Donovan, Jered’s Chief Operating Officer.
This expansion will greatly increase the ability for the Jered and PAR® Defense operations to support PaR’s growing defense market. Since 1961 PAR Systems has been providing robots for specialized applications and expanded their defense role with the acquisition of Jered in 2005 and Unidynamics in 2006, both with over a half-century of defense equipment experience. Following the consolidation of Unidynamics products into the Brunswick operations, and additional volume growth, Jered has significantly grown their workforce in Brunswick and views this expansion as a key step for the continued increase in employment opportunities. This most recent expansion is being achieved through a close partnership with the Brunswick and Glynn County Development Authority. “As we approach the 20th anniversary of Jered’s presence in Brunswick, we are delighted that the company continues to add jobs and position itself for future growth in the community,” stated Nathan Sparks, Executive Director of the Brunswick and Glynn County Development Authority.
