PAR Provides Winnebago Automation for Motorhome Manufacturing

The Pedestal Routers will be Installed at Forest City, IA to Manufacture Efficiently and Cost Effectively.


SHOREVIEW, MN, November 11, 2015 – PAR Systems, Inc. (, a world leader in material handling, automation, and robotic solutions since 1961, has partnered with Winnebago Industries to provide pedestal routers to improve manufacturing efficiency at its headquarters in Forest City, Iowa. PAR Systems is proud to be part of the automated manufacturing of motorhomes for Winnebago Industries.


In 1994, PAR Systems provided Winnebago their first automated sidewall panel router. Since then, PAR has installed six large-scale gantry routers for the Forest City manufacturing facility. Recently, however, due to increased demand for their industry-leading products and the overall strength of the business, a need arose to replace production equipment.  A decision was made to replace these large routers with state of the art industry pedestal equipment.


Winnebago chose PAR to supply these replacement routers largely in part to the successful history, along with an innovative design utilizing FANUC robots. This router will be installed at Forest City in 2016. The PAR pedestal router is one of the key pieces of automation to manufacture Winnebago motorhomes efficiently and cost effectively.
