Jered Breaks Ground on 100,000 Square Foot Expansion to Enhance Manufacturing Capacity for Military Grade Marine Systems 

Brunswick, GA – March 26, 2024 — Jered, a PAR Systems company, proudly announces the groundbreaking ceremony for its highly anticipated 100,000 square foot expansion at McBride Industrial Park. This monumental addition marks a significant milestone for Jered, solidifying its commitment to enhancing manufacturing capacity for military-grade marine systems utilized by the U.S. Navy, while fostering substantial growth for both the business and the community of Brunswick, Georgia.

The expansion project represents a strategic initiative to consolidate Jered’s operations into one location, streamlining efficiency and optimizing production capabilities. Currently operating across two sites, Liberty Harbor and McBride Industrial Park near the Brunswick Golden Isles Airport, the new facility will serve as a centralized hub for innovation and excellence in maritime technology.

Richard Prescott, Director of Engineering and Quality for Jered, expressed excitement for the company’s future trajectory, emphasizing the significance of the new facility in meeting the evolving demands of the U.S. Navy. “The past 30 years at our Liberty Harbor location have been invaluable, but as we look to the future, consolidating our operations into a single, modernized facility is essential for sustaining growth and innovation,” Prescott commented. “This expansion represents a pivotal moment for Jered, and we are eager to enter the next chapter of our partnership with the U.S. Navy.”

The $45 million expansion project is anticipated to be completed by mid-2025. Upon completion Jered plans to hire additional employees, bolstering its current workforce in Brunswick. The company’s commitment to talent acquisition and development has already resulted in the recruitment of 50 new employees over the past 18 months, reflecting its proactive approach to meeting the evolving needs of the industry.
