PAR Systems is Featured in the Advanced Manufacturing, November Issue

Shoreview, MN, December 19,  2025 – Last month, PAR Systems had the honor of being featured in the Society of Manufacturing Engineers’ monthly magazine, “Advanced Manufacturing.org”.

PAR Systems employees, Jeremey Thomas, Business Development Director and Sofia Nordenstam, Digital Marketing Manager put their heads together and co-wrote an article describing a recent, new technology in the high-mix, low-volume industries, developed exclusively at PAR Systems.

Known as “VMAP”, which stands for “Vision Mapping and Planning”, this progressive software solution imitates human intuition while breaking the traditional “fixed workstation” model in the manufacturing space. The inspiration behind this new technology was initiated by Jim Cunov, Chief Engineer at PAR Systems who knew that eliminating preprogrammed toolpaths was the path to the future.

How It Works

VMAP Targets

The VMAP solution has three components: a 2d robot, a mounted camera and a machine learning algorithm that identifies the work pieces, the “targets” in question. The end-result of this system is reduced operator intervention, cost and time spent, yet increased process versatility.

PAR Systems is proud and honored to be featured in the November issue of “Advanced Manufacturing” and thankful to the entire engineering team who spent a significant amount of time developing this revolutionary new solution.
