PAR Releases Generation II High Pressure (HP) CO2 Lasers Series

July 2, 2012

Pretoria, ZA (2 July 2012) – As part of our quest for continuous technology advances and peak performance of our Transversely Excited (TE) CO2 lasers, PAR Systems’ Center of Excellence for sdilasers™ has made several significant improvements to their high pressure TE CO2 laser systems, including the HP10, HP20, HP100, and HP300 products. These improvements are the result of over 15 years of working closely with our clients to improve reliability, serviceability, and performance.

The main features of the Generation II HP lasers are summarised below:

OPTICS
Systems can be operated in any of the following optical configurations:

Amplifier mode
Fixed wavelength (10P20) oscillator mode
Wavelength tuneable oscillator mode with manual adjustable grating
Wavelength tuneable oscillator mode with agile tuner

ZnSe Brewster windows are standard on all models to ensure maximum optic lifetime and trouble-free operation.

All oscillator configurations feature thermally stable kinematic resonator hardware ensuring maximum optical alignment stability.

The agile tuner configuration provides computer-controlled agile wavelength tuning. The wavelength selection sequence can be pre-programmed, and the system can select different wavelengths for consecutive shots even at high repetition rate operation.

ELECTRICAL

Improved and optimized pulse circuits ensure less downtime and easy maintenance
Maintenance-free high voltage interconnectivity
Improved pre-ionization contributes to highly stable and low-jitter laser output
Compact and easily serviceable electrode assembly is a proven and industrialized design

OTHER

The HP300 series has fully proportional temperature control ensuring unsurpassed output stability even at maximum repetition rate operation.

A closed-loop heated gas regeneration catalyst system is standard on all HP laser models. This ensures stable optical output and lower operating cost.

The system is packaged in an aesthetically pleasing, compact and fully EMI-shielded enclosure, with removable stainless steel panels for quick and easy access to the entire system.
